I like this late Prof. having met him a couple of times and reading his good works. In this statement from his most famous work - which has directed the states' net zero policy every since, he seems to agree that the sustainability of civilisations depends on population growth. Rather than how well the people of that civilisation treat each other. Oh well. Nobody is perfect.

Whatever the reality of this much believed in and much debunked doctrine, the numbers above are interesting in how we look at the probability of net zero succeeding. I'm not pro net zero. But I do want to know if it can succeed or not.
