On Proportional Representation as a Voting System

Imagine this: the nation adopts a perfect voting system. 

The people now get exactly what they want. 

But the people of this nation are selfish and ignorant in general. 

So a selfish and ignorant government is delivered with perfect precision. 

Now this people might be virtuous in general... right? 

Then a voting system of any kind is no longer required.
