This article is a good read if you want to quickly know more about Bitcoin than the 99%. It shows how even though he is right, God's will is not the reward of his righteousness.
Dr Wright's invention is brilliant. But his attitude towards the corrupt world holding it out of use is not a winning one. I've tried gracefully to point this out to him many times. He calls me a communist, ad hominem and blocks me. He is high on the autism spectrum and needs order. Anything or any idea which brings this order under scrutiny is seen as an existential threat. I get this s this isn't an attack on the doctor. It is showing sympathy for a horrible condition which makes life very scary for someone born with it. It's also showing he's in danger of burying his amazing invention if he does not have a wholesale change of mind about this clown world which is by no means a fair one. This is a common theme among many others I listen to and speak to who actually support the original protocol and blockchain. Much as Dr. Wright wants order, Gods will is not yet done on earth.
Another theme which I do not think he understands well is that economic rent is embedded in everything that can be bought. This means his economic view of the world is severely limited.
Dr. Wright invented Bitcoin as a way of bringing more order to his life. He wrote this. But years ago the IP was stolen by anarchistic developers who ironically wanted to centralise it to impose their own government independant of the present law. Who knows why. I expect it was for the usual reason - they are anarchists or libertarians so of course know much better about how to distribute power than the rest of us. Their mantra is 'code is law'. Meaning the code, being perfect, does not require the law anymore. It IS law to the anarcho capitalist! The big problem is that this code is changed regulatly on a whim by this new world order when things are not going the way they see fit.
But in this real and strange world, the law, is law. The person or group is subject to it. Not a private key without an identity. We may not like this. It is what it is and the democratic majority voted for it every time. I'm no particular fan of democracy BTW. I'm just sayin'. The curious thing is, our democracy is allowing the anarchists to get away with it. Against the law!
This is our clown world, we created it and we own all of it, so we should adapt our attitude toward it in the best possible way...if we want to make it through. And this is what Dr. Wright is not able to do. The effect of this attitude is a threat to his great invention. Because if and when the day comes when the world summons Dr. Wright to deliver his invention, which might not happen anyway, he wont be in the least but ready for it. So the world will pass it by, forever.
The hidden theft of the Bitcoin blockchain has resulted in by far the dominant blockchain called BTC(Bitcoin Core) as seen on the popular exchanges. Which is stolen Intellectual Property(the blockchain database or ledger as copyright under the MIT license). And this BTC is also illegally being 'passed off' as the original Bitcoin by these developers and the exchanges where you swap dollars for coin. 'Passed off' meaning: pretending to be the original blockchain.
But 99% of Bitcoin experts, and the entire global judiciary and financial regulatory authorities are totally unaware of this. But... Facebook, Square, Mr. Musk, Peter Thiel etc, etc, the monopoly barons who own all of the 'free but pricey' Web2 world are very well aware of if it indeed and are terrified it will become common knowledge. There's are very large legal case known as COPA underway and fully funded by these characters attempting to discredit Dr Wright and set the crimes in concrete forever. Success for Dr Wright would wholly undermine Web2 which these monopoly corporation's are essentially. And pave the way for Web3 where the individual consumer regains control of their identity and gets to keep it's value. That would be the end of the 'free' Internet, a very dangerous position for those who we unwittingly sell control of our thought to today. They are they robber barons of the twenty first century.
This is were all the other legal battles are currently happening in a unilateral attempt by Dr. Wright to get justice for his invention in response. Being an autist this is a binary matter for him. "It is right, it is legal, why is justice not responding?" has been his furious call since 2018.
But look at the traditional finance world. Is that not also a litany of Ponzi schemes and money laundering which even our very best leaders are already well aware of but incapable of attending to? If democracy cannot deliver justice to the financial world, why would it be able to do so for Bitcoin which is barely invented yet! Sadly, what is an incredible invention, with the power to improve economic productivity as much as did the Internet, lifting billions out of hard times, is largely used as a get rich quick scheme by the greater fool and by individuals and corporations wanting to hide their financial activity for whatever reason.
It's this point which is frustrating many supporters of this original protocol. Dr Wrights motives are not the same as his loyal army of followers. They want the tech to work for the better of the world. Dr. Wright has stated the same many times. But for me he comes across far more authentically when he says "I'm doing this, for me!". This is not to accuse him of selfishness. It is to say he wants it to ease his lifelong suffering and I totally get that. And his army of followers do not have the heart to break it to him and instead follow him like the hero of a cult.
Back to the Bitcoin markets strongest demand for censorship resistance and anonymity, I'm not saying this 'hiding' of financial transactions is for nefarious reasons. I'm just pointing at it for you to think about. Here's a psychic experiment for you as an acid test: think of a time you desired censorship resistance or anonymity in a financial or tax transaction. Be honest when you look at yourself carefully in this mirror and tell yourself why exactly you wanted to do it in secret. Say it out loud if you really want to look at it authentically. This activity is known as a psychological audit. Only those who really want to know and are serious about this stuff will try it. You might see something you really don't like.
Many will cite the classic Canadian truckers movement and how they wanted to undermine the crooked Canadian governments attempts to block their funding by putting it all on chain. It was for justice they will tell you. But was it really? I have sympathy for truckers in general. Governments of all party's across the globe continuously punish their hard work, skill and enterprise ... just because they can. And this punishment places their households permanently in serious jeopardy, which governments everywhere care little about evidently. The truckers were perfectly right to make a stand on it. But were they right to put the rest of the nation, who were not truckers in jeopordy too, victim become perpetrator style? They had the right to strike. But were they right? The truckers knew that the rest of the nation would not stand behind them even though they were right. So they had to force their will onto the rest of the nation, undemocratically by blockade. The right action would have simply been to leave their trucks idle on their driveways in the hope the nation of people would change their minds and back them. Otherwise put it down to fate and use a better attitude to deal with it from now on. Instead they chose to undermine all that with a blockade and used Bitcoin to transact their supporters funding because they believed it was censorship resistant and untraceable so could not be seized by the law.
Little did they know. Just like the 'team of useful idiots' Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning and the other one I can't remember!, the truckers believed their transactions could not be traced because Bitcoin is encrypted. How funny. Bitcoin txs are in clear text. And if you re-use the addresses where you send coins to it's easy to trace if you're an authority committed to it such as the police force ordered by the law to act. The truckers had their funds seized. The irony was that even the authorities did not know it was easy to trace either. The ignorance kept alive by the Bitcoin narrative made sure of that. The police just paid a visit to the truckers leaders anyway and demanded they hand over the wallets and keys. Which they did. It's so funny to listen to supporters of Mr. Assange knowing they don't realise how little he really knows and through planet saving ignorance sealed his own fate. He was not even aware his Wikleaks activity was visible to the authorities already. This is why he cannot come home to face the music. It's an open and shut case because his activity is all there on chain. Given he re-used addresses and his identity can be linked to those addresses it cannot be repudiated, ever. It was him. Why do people worship idiots?
The point of this piece is that even though you are right, you are truly seeking justice or genuinely want to save the world, rarely does the world respond in kind to that activity. What matters in the end is your attitude to an unfair world full of suffering and with that change of mind what good you can make of it. A bad attitude will see your household under water very quickly when hard times strike. God's will is not done on earth as the Christians have spent 2000 years trying to convince us of. And all that in spite of their namesake pointing it all out with perfect clarity right at the start.
