Obedience Theory - Drives Success More Than Every Other Factor

May I propose what might be new idea to you? Let us call it 'obedience theory'.

Study the articles here for a full range diagnosis of obedience theory in full.

The theory is about how obedience is the primary method all people use to climb socially and economically.

And when society is ruled by hierarchy - which all are, obedience is the foundation upon which all people decide on everything else. There may be other factors driving people socially, but these will be much less important derivatives of obedience.

So, I choose obedience to the authority who tells the story I want to hear told - let's call it my tribe. I offer my obedience as the principle thing I do to get ahead socially and economically. Sure, I do other things to get ahead. Obedience this is the topmost thing by a long way.

Being seen making public displays of obedience to my tribe - known as signalling obedience, comes way before everything else I do socially and economically.

Especially abstract principles like objective fact, morals, saving the planet and truth etc. I know. This sounds irrational. But isn't it the most rational thing I could do? Because it always works!

The wonder of obedience theory is that you do not have to physically act out your obedience using dangerous methods, though that can help(protests, activism, running for election etc). The trick is to understand that you will quickly rise more easily and more quickly in the social hierarchy, simply if you can signal your obedience better than the rest. It is all relative.

You can send strong signals without leaving your armchair these days. There is no need to risk pain.

So to secure the future of your household and descendants in the best possible way, your first duty is to learn how to signal your obedience well. If you can reframe your mind to this, you will boost your chances of success more than any of the other factors like hard work, skill, industry, intelligence, luck and so on and so on. Obedience!

This is because within a society which is powered by hierarchy, obedience to the hierarchy is everything and is automatically rewarded highly by the entire population including the losers and winners. Disobedience means exile and a virtual death sentence - the motivation behind cancel culture and state censorship of course. It is not that the state is evil. It is because it works and all people, their leaders and followers alike, are fully harmonised to obedience.

We can wank on about morals and all that shite. It will be a mistake. You will lose if you lead your life based on abstract principles.

Obedience is not a conscious individual activity which can be managed by the ego. It's an object fact of the collective psyche. It happens for real, yet no one is really aware of it - the collective unconscious. It has a life of its own more powerful than any government or global national socialist leader.

So, "I am" an obedient instrument of the authority I have wilfully chosen. And standing behind my tribe's story is everything. I will climb high in the tribe if I signal my obedience well. If I am the best at signalling obedience I will climb to the top by virtue of the less obedient placing me there - the people will have conferred that status onto me. By signalling, I earned. I am their proxy.

Obedience theory works because the tribe 'rewards' those of us who can signal obedience in the best way. The state knows this and uses it because it works. It works because nobody can escape from perpetration if we're all driven by obedience more than anything else.

By authority I do not mean wealth and power per se. I mean the tribe as a collective, IS power. Not the classically used trope 'wealth & power'. This latter term merely defines those who have signalled the best form of obedience and have already risen to the top and is used unconsciously to signal jealousy.

This obedience principle works equally from bottom to top. No one, no matter how weak or strong, minnow or President, is not unconsciously yet actively taking part in this obedience network we euphemistically call: society.

There may be several competing tribes, let us call these tribes 'obedience partitions'. As in the entire obedience network is partitioned into competing tribes. It can be more than 2 partitions temporarily. But in the end it always normalises to 2. Because 2 is the most efficient configuration - the minimum size required to make it function optimally in that time and place - no more are required for it to work any better. 2 is the breakpoint. This is why we only have the left and the right, the white race and the rest, them and us - a duality.

I'm not saying the idea of obedience theory is good or bad for us. That we should do more of it or abolish it. I am pointing directly at it for further scrutiny, because though it seems like a wild idea, it also seems to fit the TV screen we all watch more satisfactorily than the best alternatives. It doesn't prove it is true. It does demand as much scrutiny as the best alternatives at the very least. I write about it all the time.

I have reached out for 20 years to all comers in the 'entertainment' industry - the experts, the influencers, leadership and so on and so on. It always falls on deaf ears. It's not like they respond by pointing out its flaws and asking for clarification. It is that they never respond. Or even attack my person, ad hominem. This looks like a strong signal reinforcing the idea itself - even the best influencers too are obedient instruments of authority who have yet to pass The Orwell Test.

I used to be highly politically active in the UK so I'm no novice. Speaking from this authority does not make me right of course. But being immersed in that insane world means I've observed all the crazy stuff, a thousand times with primary evidence.

You can find my rants and rambles here on northstokelife.com if you want more detail. It may sound like harsh or random stuff. I'd say this is because I'm asking the reader, maybe for the first time to look beyond the movie they are currently watching, find the picture in picture button and start watching that screen for  a while instead to see if anything new emerges. This question applies particularly to those who already believe they are doing it- who say they are awake etc. This is a big ask. But we're talking about how this giant 'simulation' works and how to fix it. If we're serious about it and hit the spot, what else could it be but big?

I trade as tohonesty.com but this is largely unrelated though there is some cross over with the astonishing crypto narrative which in hardly any way intersects with reality, yet billions just believe it anyway and risk their life savings on that gamble. Again!....

Have a think about obedience. It's really a development of what Eric Blair wrote so well about. The theory is used by 3 letter agencies because it works - it delivers control at scale. The spell can be broken though and I see this playing out astonishingly in the battle between the President and the rest of the world - another duality. He is NOT obedient to the tribe. He leads it authentically. It's like the first global civil war.

A Dialogue on the UK's Accession to the United States (UKEXIT)

A Dialogue on the UK's Accession to the United States Executive Summary This initiative seeks to foster a formal dialogue regarding the potential accession of the countries of the United Kingdom , to the United States , as individual states.  Being English the main focus is for the country of England to accede. The original intent was to ask the government to lead on it through a petition leading to the question coming before the House of Commons. This was crushed out of hand by the committee leading petitions, which was not a surprise.  Simply put, this petition is asking the government to start a conversation about the benefits of leaving the UK and joining the United States. Let us call the initiative UKEXIT (yukezit) The objective is to evaluate the benefits to citizens and stakeholders, encouraging a constructive discourse on the political, economic, and social implications of such a union. If Wales , Northern Ireland , Scotland , or  England were to leave the Unit...

The 450 Volt Truth: From Orwell to Obedience

A Complete Thread on Dystopia, Milgram, and Breaking the Agentic State - Why People Act Irrationally and Often Violently When a Tribal Social Structure and Its Hierarchy Are Brought Under Serious Scrutiny This is a tricky topic. Please read the Obedience Glossary of Terms before proceeding Executive Summary This piece was written from a long conversation with Grok. I had to interrogate the AI quite a bit. And was astonished at how it produced such intelligence. I've included the most pertinent parts. Do not be fooled into thinking this is just another Orwell analysis. That is just setting the scene well. For what comes later on the agentic state and how power uses it to control the masses.  It may not have all the answers. It might wrong. A lot of it is very hard to believe is happening. But it still seems to fit the bizarre world of system wide dissonance we all live and partake in today, better than all the alternatives. So deserves your continued attention. By all means make yo...

Government & Tax Death Toll

I'm going to show you how government and taxation causes more excess death than any other factor, even global wars and pandemics. It is and always has been the biggest genocide of all. And its deliberate. Government doesn’t just fail to save lives — it takes them, at scale.  2–6 million globally 200K–400K in the U.S. 50K–80K in the UK Every year. Every tax. Every regulation. Cumulatively since 1970 government and tax killed between 160 and 300 million people across the globe  More than all 20th century wars and genocides combined (260M) In the U.S. ten times more than all U.S. combat deaths in history (10 * 1.2M) In the UK equivalent to 1 in 15 of all deaths And the nations with more regulations and a higher tax to GDP ratio such as the UK and US, tend to kill more of their own citizens per capita. The poorest nations have a better record than the richest. All this excess death is rooted in the institutions of taxation - the theft of private property, by force, against your fr...
