Religion and Atheism as Projections in Cosmic Exile

I'm going to show you how the battle between beliefs in religion or no beliefs in a god or gods is an anxious exile projection. - Religion and atheism are both a social projection where each side are convinced they are fighting the ultimate problem, while both remain trapped in an incoherent condition of equal suffering caused by the same illusion. While exile from the true self is being left fully unattended.

Inner exile shame/guilt → projects onto outer issue → outer focus creates more anxiety/division → intensifies inner shame/guilt → loop repeats, strengthening the material prison and blocking inward remembrance.

  • Root: Deep exile shame, guilt, and anxiety projected onto the question of God, meaning, and existence as a dualistic battle of truth vs delusion.
  • Religious side: Channels guilt and fear of meaninglessness into belief, rituals, and moral rules, seeking outer salvation, authority, and community to ease inner disconnection.
  • Atheist side: Channels anxiety and rejection of control into dismissing faith, embracing science/materialism, and mocking believers as a defence against perceived superstition and tyranny.
  • Both sides convinced they battle ultimate evil (ignorance or tyranny), locked in material conflict, superiority, and endless debate.
  • Pro-archons (religious institutions, traditions) enforce obedience, guilt, and dogma for control. Counter-archons (militant atheism, secular powers) stir division, mockery, and rejection for cultural dominance and power.
All remain trapped in the same flawed material prison, wasting energy on outer belief battles instead of facing exile directly. Remembering inner light dissolves the dualistic trap.

Reminder: Who Are the Archons?

Invisible forces of control acting as cosmic jailers. Pro-archons maintain order through established religion. Counter-archons push opposition through aggressive atheism. Both fuel projections and prevent inward remembrance.

Intensity comparison with other projections (historic guilt, climate fear, conspiracy theories):

  • Similar core: All from exile shame/guilt projected outward.
  • Intensity: Very high and pervasive — touches core identity, family, and daily life with constant moral/emotional charge.
  • Vs historic guilt: More voluntary and identity-defining than inherited shame.
  • Vs climate fear: Deeper existential reach (purpose of life) vs one practical issue.
  • Vs conspiracy theories: More socially accepted and mainstream on both sides.
All are equally illusory traps. Religion-atheism polarisation spreads easily due to constant cultural reinforcement. Remembering the inner light frees all sides from the shared illusion.
