Do Politics Authentically and Metaphysics is Your Inevitable Goal

The beginning of politics is valuable to the spirit, but dangerous to the soul. It gives a lot of meaning to anyone who explores it. But if you remain there for too long underdeveloped your psyche will suffer and you will start to cause harm to the world, even if you think you are saving it.
This is nothing to be afraid of or to seek peer validation from. It is not mumbo jumbo as our medieval scientists tend to say today. It is a free choice that's not possible to judge without absurdity. Its just a choice one can make if one likes.
Once one has discovered a satisfactory political position, a cosy mental zone is created into which one can safely haven from the dangerous and unfair world of suffering. And it allows one to see meaning at last in a brutal world terminated by death.
Politics is a never ending pathway which must be continuously developed. Else one falls into ideology and starts to become root cause of the suffering one is trying to escape. Victim, become perpetrator.
My cosy zone of politics is highly rewarding to me. But if I stop developing it beyond this cosy zone of cake and lounging about because it is so cosy, it inevitably develops into an ideological world view. Some would call this religion. I call it an 'image'. An image of the world, or my world view.
Def: Religion - These cosy zones are just images my thought creates about the world, making it appear cosy to me, helping me to temporarily escape from the suffering. That is,
Thought creates an image of the world. Then thought goes on to worship the image thought created
To such an extent that I can no longer remember I even created the image in the first place. The image I created is thus rendered into the unconscious. My image now becomes everything to me. I believe that no one else can see my image. I start to worship it so hard, it becomes even more important than the safety of children and the weak. Because I believe no one can see me doing this, much like a very young child who does not yet realise its parents cannot tell what its thinking, I can start to perpetrate suffering on myself and others, without being seen. I can no do all this, with impunity.
And when my image meets another competing image, I must enter into battle with it to defend my own cosy zone. If I fail to do this the danger is my image will be defeated, I will see the stupidity of it and will either have to create a new image or adopt the victors image. So I will be willing to cause a lot of harm to myself and others before I concede even the slightest thing. All unconsciously. Can you see the root of all violence in the world not created by natural forces, but social forces? This effect is q very widespread image today in the 'mania of virtue' which is starting to rule the world.
I have seen this after 20 years of cultivating my own litany of false and cosy images across the political spectrum. And needed to go through a 5 year virtual nervous break down to claw my way out of it - a literal near death experience. Maybe it was an actual death, a psychological one, followed by a rebirth, with an opportunity to totally change my approach to this inevitable world of pointless suffering bounded by death.
Crossing into the 'forbidden zone' of metaphysics can be a journey we all undertake at some point(see the meaning in the narrative of the Planet of the Apes).
Unless you wish the world to be permanently at war. You watch the pointless deaths proceed without a care truly. Only a pretend armchair one. And your cosy image explains it all away, usually by blaming wealth and power in some shape or form. Your image is such a powerful cosy place to live.
Or, unless you simply refuse to get into any politics at all and never develop a cosy safety zone - which is fine. Then you will be the proletariat or the slave - subject to those who are political. That is a free choice too and there is nothing wrong there. At least you will not be a psychotic perpetrator and apologist of war.
And if you do choose the cosy world of politics and do not want to remain there forever, you will have to do something very different indeed - cross over into the forbidden zone. Where, there are no guarantees things will be better, no assurance you will enter the kingdom of heaven one day and certainly a great risk of failure possibly worse than remaining a slave.
Yet, if you take that leap, the opportunity to grow onto a new plane of life, is presented to you for the very first time.
The beginning of politics is valuable to the spirit, but dangerous to the soul. It gives a lot of meaning to anyone who explores it. But if you remain there for too long underdeveloped your psyche will suffer and you will start to cause harm to the world, even if you think you are saving it.
