The feminine has been rejected by the Christian myth. And women have been incentivised to enter into the animus.
Carl Jung’s animus is a core concept in his analytical psychology, representing the unconscious masculine archetype that resides in the psyche of every woman.
And has driven them into the animus - affected them psychologically.
It has taken their natural self-confidence driven them into a compensation mode, behaving like men and getting into the animus. - imitate men and behave in a brutal, rational, animus way.
Because they have no self-assurance in their own femininity.
Women have to try as much as possible to be like a man in order to be halfway recognised in the world.
It's not so much the material world men that suppress the women. It's just as much the animus in the womens.
Most of the time if the outer man is harming you, they want to suppress you. You can just walk out on them
But the animus is therefore the real problem.
One should found a women's liberation society against the animus not against men which I'm afraid is what's happened with the women's lib movement. That would be women's liberation.
Then femininity recovers by itself in a natural way.
Now largely men are not finding women attractive.

Carl Jung’s animus is a core concept in his analytical psychology, representing the unconscious masculine archetype that resides in the psyche of every woman. It is the counterpart to the anima (the unconscious feminine archetype in men). The animus is not a literal "inner man" but a personified cluster of masculine traits, images, and potentials that shape how a woman relates to masculinity—both within herself and in the external world.Key Characteristics of the AnimusArchetypal Nature
The animus is rooted in the collective unconscious, drawing from universal human experiences of "the masculine" across cultures (e.g., heroes, gods, warriors, thinkers). It appears in dreams, fantasies, and projections as male figures.
Four Stages of Development (Jung’s model of animus integration):
Jung described the animus evolving through progressive stages as a woman becomes more conscious of it: Stage 1: The Physical Man – Embodied in raw strength (e.g., athlete, brute). Primitive, instinctual.
Stage 2: The Man of Action – Initiative, courage, romance (e.g., hero, knight).
Stage 3: The Man of Word – Logos, intellect, speech (e.g., professor, preacher).
Stage 4: The Man of Meaning – Spirit, wisdom, guide to the Self (e.g., sage, guru).
Full integration occurs when the animus becomes a bridge to the Self (the totality of the psyche), granting the woman access to assertiveness, logic, and spiritual insight.
Positive vs. Possessive Animus Positive: Provides initiative, rationality, creativity, and independence. A woman in touch with a mature animus is decisive, intellectually sharp, and purposeful.
Negative (Possessive): When unconscious, the animus "possesses" her, leading to: Opinionated rigidity (dogmatic, argumentative).
Projection onto men (idealizing or demonizing real men).
Inner critic (harsh, judgmental masculine voice).
How the Animus ManifestsDreams/Fantasies: As father, brother, lover, rival, or authority figure.
Projections: A woman may fall in love with men who embody her animus (e.g., a creative woman drawn to brooding artists).
Creative Work: The animus often drives a woman’s ambition, logical analysis, or spiritual seeking.
Integration (Individuation)Jung believed psychological wholeness (individuation) requires a woman to withdraw projections from men and integrate the animus consciously. This means owning her own masculinity—her capacity for reason, assertiveness, and meaning-making—without being dominated by it."The animus is the deposit, as it were, of all woman’s ancestral experiences of man—and not only that, he is also a creative and procreative being." – Carl Jung, Aion
In short: The animus is a woman’s inner masculine principle. When unconscious, it distorts her relationships and self-image. When integrated, it becomes a source of strength, clarity, and wholeness.
