Summary
I’m going to show you how the widespread belief in many conspiracy theories are projections of a much deeper anxiety caused by the spiritual exile we all live within. I’ll show why apparently irrational ideas such as a flat earth, climate change danger, the moon landing hoax and so on and so on, are believed intensely by such large numbers of people. This is not to say those people are crazy or stupid at all. It is to show how they are responding rationally to the condition in which they live - exile from their true home and identity. I'll show how that can cause unidentifiable shame and guilt which not only causes the anxiety to be projected onto the material world. But also leads to other similarly exiled souls exploiting that shame and guilt using their own projections, adding to the chaos and incoherence. I’ll also illustrate ‘apparent’ victims and perpetrators on all sides, not for judgement, but to reinforce a call out for more compassion - given all of us are facing the same root condition. Then I’ll show how people analysing this can gain understanding of how the exile anxiety is turned into projections - such as these conspiracy theories. All of us in the cosmic battle are equally living a cosmic slaves illusion which we could free ourselves from if only we would look at what is happening in front of our faces.
A Brief Analysis of Conspiracy Theories
How we use conspiracy theories to try and 'escape' from our flawed material prison:
Root cause: Deep, nameless shame and guilt from feeling cut off from the true source creates unidentifiable inner pain. People project it outward onto conspiracy stories as an easy hook.
Why so many believe in a flat earth: The inner exile feeling of living in a false, controlled world matches perfectly. A flat earth theory gives a tangible explanation for the deep sense that "something is very wrong here," turning the abstract soul discomfort of cosmic exile into a clear outer story that feels real and urgent.
Guilt side (defence): Some absorb conspiracy guilt, feeling personally responsible or trapped as victims of hidden powers, leading to fear, withdrawal, and self-blame.
Blame side (attack): Others weaponize it aggressively, blaming elites, governments, or groups for all suffering. They project inner exile pain as righteous anger and endless hunting for enemies.
All sides as victims and perpetrators: Believers become trapped in paranoia and isolation; skeptics react with mockery or suppression, feeding division. Pro-archons (mainstream powers, media) push official narratives for control and obedience. Counter-archons (conspiracy promoters) exploit fear for attention, followers, and power too. Both sides strengthen the material prison of distraction and conflict.
Endless division: This creates endless loops of suspicion, arguments, and energy wasted on outer enemies instead of facing inner exile guilt directly.
A remedy?: Everyone on all sides lives the same illusion—pouring divine energy into material battles. Remembering the inner light and pulling back projections frees them from the shared trap.
The Source of Conspiracy Theories
Conspiracy theories are modern, secularised, and often distorted projections of ancient spiritual myths.
The Archons as the Deep State: The ancient spiritualists believed the world was ruled by invisible, tyrannical jailers called Archons who tempted humanity from behind the scenes. Today, people who do not have a spiritual framework project this exact archetype onto the outer world. They invent "secret societies," "elites," or hidden cabals controlling everything.
The Matrix Illusion: A conspiracy theory is the ego’s messy attempt to explain a profound spiritual truth: that the world we see is an illusion and we are being controlled by forces we cannot see. Because people project this outward, they look for political or physical enemies to blame, completely missing the fact that the real prison is material existence and human unconsciousness itself.
The Source of Unidentifiable Shame and Guilt
Mainstream society teaches us that if we feel guilt or shame, we must have done something wrong in our personal lives. I argue that there is a deeper, existential guilt born from being in exile. Follow this link for more detail The Source of Unidentifiable Shame and Guilt

Anxiety Intensity Comparison - Conspiracy Theories
Here I show how the projections we observe as conspiracy theories compare to other projections which stem from our cosmic exile. It's not perfect but relative. Comparing all of them helps us to see that all humanity is born into exile thus experiences the same condition and suffering. Comparison gives us a view into the possibilities of compassion.
Similar core: All stem from exile shame/guilt projected outward.
Intensity: High emotional charge but often fringe — creates deep personal conviction and isolation for believers.
Vs historic guilt: More active blame-hunting than passive inherited shame.
Vs climate fear: Narrower but more obsessive for adherents vs broad societal worry.
Vs political polarisation: Less mainstream daily fuel, more echo-chamber intensity.
Vs religion/atheism or public/private: More socially stigmatized, leading to stronger “us vs them” tribalism.
All equally illusory traps; spreads rapidly in digital spaces due to secrecy and mystery reinforcement. Remembering inner light frees all sides.
