I am taking more out of the economy than I'm putting in it into it through the rent I collect on my real estate.
I do pay some income tax on that but that is all clawed back in the increased capital gain in the value of my property and some.
So I am taking more out of the economy that I'm putting in even after tax.
Whereas most people are having more stolen from them by the state that they have worked for and that is the nature of most people in every nation of the world.
This is the problem with taxation. You can never know if you're paying too much or too little.
All you can know is that you're either paying too much by some amount because more of your income is earned than is unearned.
And on the other hand you can definitely know if you're not paying enough because more of your income is unearned compared to earned.
I do no work at all. I just collect rent. I am a rentier, so what? I pay very little tax compared to people who work hard for it.
Am I evil. Or am I a wise and successful homeowner? Am I looking after my household with more facundity than all the others?
