The Reason Mr. Musk Is Successful in Business Is Because He Has Managed to Overwhelm the Power of Monopoly

By persistence and with large wealth, he has crushed the poor quality and high prices of the old guard powers of monopoly and replaced it with stuff that just works. And that a large proportion of people really want and are now willing to buy.

Whereas the old guard have blocked this opportunity to an ever increasing extent. This extent hits a barrier where the buyers are no longer willing to buy and the whole economy suffers indirectly.

The crushing of monopoly power is a welcome boom for all people who benefit. Pretty much all people will benefit due to the increase in general productivity which ensues. Things will become cheaper to the extent the old monopoly has been crushed.

The challenge he faces each time he crushes the old guard is how to avoid becoming the new guard of monopoly power himself.

This has been the problem for all corporate barons in history. It's not to say that barons are good or bad for the world. It is to say how will he recognise himself as victim become perpetrator, and who will tell him?

Anyone who says anything will be seen as trying to spoil the show, no matter how gracious they are.

And so it goes. Nobody in power understands the cause and effect of the privatisation of economic rent. And how it always leads to monopoly power. Always.

And nobody advising those in power have the courage to speak up. And nobody protesting about it is willing to confess that they too would be that baron if they could one day.
