Why are The People of all nations and politics, selecting such low quality 'leaders' recently? Might it be because The People themselves have become corrupt?

Does it follow naturally, that if the people have become corrupt on the whole, the tendency will be for the people to select corrupt leadership?

Can we keep blaming leadership when it is We who are corrupted already?

Who or what can help this idea to gain widespread dialogue?
