Land Value Taxation, Cognitive Dissonance & Knowing

I'm going to tell you about the most dissonant interactions I've had
first hand with a thousand different people. 

In all cases they believe this is the first time I've had this conversation with anyone so also believe I do not stand on firm ground. 

And knowing full well that behind them are an army of other dissonant people who will give them the exact same kind of protection from their own dissonance. Very Soviet in form.  

I'll frame this as if I'm writing to a friend who has been in the game for over half a century, and still persists. 

"You have entered into dialogue with people about LVT for a very long time. Cleary, simply, professionally, honestly and without prejudice. 


The response you get from the subject is ALWAYS:

  1. does not understand, does not ask for clarification and runs away
  2. understands, pretends not to understand and runs away 
  3. understands fully, uses the intellect in an attempt to shut down the dialogue and runs away

This is not a criticism of your approach or style. You have not failed at all. you have succeeded.

It is a recognition that you 'Know'.
