In a house of commons ctte room about 15 years ago I was talking to the CEO of the biggest homeless charity. I said there are a million empty homes in the UK why do you never talk about it? He told me to speak to his successor and cared little for the homeless authentically.
There is no shortage of homes in the country. There is a fundamental problem with people in general who are happy about the homeless situation.
No government can attend to that. The people have to want to change first. There's technically a perfect policy to deal with it immediately which has been known about for centuries. But the people keep rejecting it more than all other policies.
So it is not wealth and power to blame per se. It is We The People. In totality. Blaming the big guys is just another escape for the people.
Yes, this is a dim view. Yet is it untrue?
