Its all relative. Not binary. Most people are part obedient, part principled. But, the golden rule is that obedience signals your approval of the hierarchies power.
And this hierarchy and not what people typically classify as 'wealth and power' or the cabal, or the myriad of a conspiracy theorists and activists masturabation videos.
So even in America where many believe they are free, this is an illusion. Most people have already conferred their freedom onto the hierarchy, through theri obedience to it.
Having climbed toward the top of it in no way means you have stopped being obedient. In every way it means you have signalled your obedience in a way which most strongly attracts others who also wnat to climb one day.
Your success is a latent effect of your obedience. So do not boast too proudly about it. Wait... actually, yes, boast proudly about it.
In the final analysis it is the people who ultimately hold the greatest power. Look to them to identify the target of this obedience signalling - the collective who hold the real power.
They hold it by virtue of being able to confer their freedom onto you while losing some of it themselves to the same extent. A master slave relationship running strong today long after the Barbery Coast masters who owe the world so much in reparations.
In a society which is rooted in hierarchy, the strongest factor of success is your obedience to the hierarchy.
It will always have its narrative - a story which contains the instructions on how to signal obedience.
Yes, hard work, skill, intellect and so on and so on on are also factors. But these are merely principle factors - principles.
And principles always come a distant second to obedience in a society rooted in hierarchy.
People find this theory extraordinarily difficult to observe let alone concede is happening. It is no surprise - to object to it is the highest form of obedience signalling you can find. You will go far.
