Here is a classic example of: a conspiracy theory being used to tell a truth which cannot be told in any other way
Hiroshima Revisited by Michael Palmer
It's claim is that nuclear weapons have never existed. The book is low quality and does not enforce its theory well. But I'm not pointing this out to discredit it at all. On the contrary, I'm saying this is a classic exposition of a conspiracy theory being used to talk about a truth, with cannot be talked about in any other way. And those forwarding it should be held in higher esteem than those not doing so.
As always I'm not saying these theories are truth or should be used to make policy. I am saying they are being used to signal an actual truth far upstream which cannot be told directly and literally for fear of the harm that will cause the messenger. And the signalling is not done consciously by the messenger and this is why its pointless trying to reason with them using logic and reason.
Following is how this case history should be analysed psychologically. Again, do not try to reason with either the messengers or the debunkers about it. This is a psycho-analytical process, you will not make good way if you try to do it using scientific method.
This particular theory is signalling the primary root theory, about 'The Cabal' who have a desire to make the whole world obedient to it. This theory is doing it very well indeed. (Page 295 in the book says it in plain sight, perfectly and directly, yet in myth and symbol)
This theory says the cabal is using the terror of nuclear weapons to get obedience at scale. It is saying this mythically. Because for some reason it cannot say it directly and literally.
The pathology is that the theory gets so far very well and truthfully... and then stops, right there, prior to literal truth it really wants to identify through this signalling.
It is earnestly trying to signal a valid truth - but it this partial and proximate truth is not it. The signaller has not yet found the strength to go that far and holds short and remains within the myth and symbol.
And this truth is full of the shame and guilt of willingly submitting to it - this is the pain in it. The extreme danger is that by pointing directly at it, instead of using a conspiracy theory, shines a light on the whole of the rest of the who have not yet seen it. They always kill the messenger don't you know.
The end truth of this particular theory is that people of the world generally, have already submitted their obedience, at scale, everywhere, through 'obedience theory'. And it is this astonishing fact the theory is really trying to signal. But cannot fully becuase there is too much potential pain and danger for an individual who wants to do that. So use myth and symbol through a conspiracy theory to escape from their duty.
Via obedience theory - people signal to the tribe, in order to get on socially, to get a better job, to get more money, to get a better home...because it works - the tribe rewards them if they you do it well.
This by no means makes these people weak. They are already way ahead of the general population so we should take off our hats to them and treat them with honour. But they are not yet quite strong enough to give even their lives for it.
They will inevitably suffer the mockery of wearing a tin foil hat, which though an injustice is nowhere near as bad as the shame and guilt of submitting their entire freedom to the tribe already. So they proceed in this way as best as they can.
Eventually the theory becomes normalised in them much like a cult because of its protective qualities. And they forget where it came from because it is so cosy. Finally getting absorbed back into the collective they're pleading to in such a hopeless way, to 'wake up'.
Ironically the monstrous truth they are trying to point at eventually overwhelms them and takes them back under its arm, just as it all was before. But the poor souls will not be aware of it, because they have already willingly submitted themselves once again to the unconscious collective.
So the price of absolute and unconditional freedom is high - the shame and guilt of wilful submission to authority and the casting off of ones God given birthright in freedom.
